About Ms. Caldwell!

Ms. Caldwell is a passionate performing artist and director, who has been teaching drama at Swanson since 2015 . She is also a licensed theatre educator with a BFA in Musical Theatre and MA in Theatre Education. Ms. Caldwell teaches both the 7th and 8th Grade semester Drama classes as well as the 6th grade Admiral Wheel Drama classes.
Ms. Caldwell also directs the School Wide Productions. Her credits include Charlie and Chocolate Factory, The Wiz, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Legally Blonde, A Wrinkle in Time (online) , and High School Musical Jr (soon to stream in May).
Her passion is exposing young people to the craft of the "live" performing arts in hopes to develop the skills of the next generation of young leaders in the arts.

Friends of Swanson Theatre are professionals in the theatre and performing arts field who have committed to lending their skills and expertise to instruct Swanson students behind the scenes for main stage productions.
Judith Harmon - Costume Designer
Ms. Judy is our resident costume designer and teaches costume management for Swanson Theatre tech students during our all school productions. She has been a designer/costumer for over thirty productions. As a graduate of University of Texas at Arlington with B.A. in business/theater, Ms. Judy is also an award winning cosplayer and founder of Sew What?! Costumes. Besides working with several theater groups, she also teaches costume design and sewing at Bishop Ireton High School, theater at Compass Homeschooling, and consults at Seneca Ridge Middle School. |
India Soodoo - Technical Director
"Ms. India" is our resident Technical Theatre Director, instructor and consultant. Her background includes working with local theater companies such as Live Garra and Bison Repertory Theater; as well as videographer and editor for local television stations. Mrs. India provides instruction for our tech students in stage management, lighting, set construction, props, video, audio and sound for live theater. |
